Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst

Job Summary:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Senior Programmer Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining secure, responsive, and accessible applications and underlying web services and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software architecture for university-wide applications
  • Develop and update architectural framework for highly complex and confidential applications
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate systems and databases
  • Provide technical and business process support to other units
  • Supervise and mentor desktop and network support staff
  • Conduct training sessions for user personnel
  • Research and resolve computer problems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in information technology work, preferably in an enrolment working environment at a university or post-secondary institution
  • Experience in hardware and software support, local area networks, active directory, and domain administration
  • Experience with relational database systems, especially SQL Server, MariaDB, and Oracle DB
  • Experience with website development and specific tools, technologies, and languages

Assets:

  • Programming experience with Java, Oracle, Apache Tomcat, Docker, and Linux
  • Familiarity with the ROSI interface and its underlying data architecture
