We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hotel Night Auditor to join our team at the Best Western Plus Norwester Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring accurate and efficient check-in processes.
  • Resolve complaints and claims in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with guests.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as points of interest in the area, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Exchange foreign currency and process guests' departures, calculating charges and receiving payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, utilizing technology to streamline processes.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, prioritizing guest safety and well-being.
  • Clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, to support the efficient operation of the front desk.
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, providing excellent communication and customer service.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to accessibility.
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Provide customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
