Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Write detailed reports of incidents and security activities.
  • Investigate routine incidents and take necessary steps to prevent future occurrences.
  • De-escalate situations involving conflict, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas and ensure that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Maintain a clear and safe entrance to our facilities, ensuring pedestrian traffic flows smoothly.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with emergency responders, clients, and management to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Monitor surveillance systems to identify potential security threats.
  • Conduct patient watches to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
  • Use verbal and physical intervention as necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Candidates with experience working in healthcare and mental health will be given priority.
  • Successful completion of the following certifications: Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB), Use of Force (UoF), and Baton.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including standing and walking for long periods of time in outdoor weather conditions.
