Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Write detailed reports of incidents and security activities.
  • Investigate routine incidents and take appropriate action to prevent future occurrences.
  • De-escalate situations involving conflict, violence, or other security threats.
  • Ensure that all areas of the property are secure and accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms as necessary.
  • Provide patient watches and ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Intervene in medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and management to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of security experience, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Candidates with experience working in healthcare and mental health will be given priority.
  • Successful completion of the following certification(s): Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB), Use of Force (UoF), and Baton.
  • Moderate physical activity, standing and walking for long periods of time in outdoor weather conditions.
