Job Description for a Bookkeeper at Christie/Cummings

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Christie/Cummings. This is a permanent position with 37.5 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate should have a college diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
