Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our Digital Shared Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and customer-reported cybersecurity issues in a complex 24x7x365 system critical environment.
  • Support Digital Shared Services cybersecurity incident response and vulnerability management practices.
  • Ensure managed security services are deployed and operating effectively.
  • Maintain the security awareness program and promote best practices throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in enterprise information technology providing infrastructure support with a focus on server virtualization, network management, security administration, and IT service management.
  • Experience managing service requests and incidents using an IT service management tool.
  • Diploma in information technology from an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Vendor and industry certifications in specific technologies and functions (such as CISSP, MCSE, CCNP, and ITIL) are assets.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle for occasional travel to urban centers within Manitoba.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, including incident management, change management, and problem management.
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, and COBIT.
  • Familiarity with incident response and crisis management procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in various situations.
  • Good report-writing skills, detail-oriented, with a commitment to security best practices.
Working Conditions
  • Typical of working at a computer in an environmentally controlled office environment.
  • Lifting and moving large computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • On-call rotation of evenings/weekends and occasional overtime as required.
  • Regularly manages competing demands and interruptions; incumbent is able to schedule dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration.
  • Must be available in-person at assigned site(s) as required.
