We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Electronic Arts.

As part of a global team of creators, storytellers, and technologists, you will play a vital role in developing innovative and engaging gaming experiences for millions of players worldwide.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and globally accessible services that power our games and platforms.
  • Implement cutting-edge security measures to safeguard user data and prevent cheating, ensuring a safe and secure gaming environment.
  • Champion the adoption of best practices in software development, including DevOps principles and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Collaborate closely with game developers and other engineers to integrate services seamlessly into our games and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, protocols, and technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java/Kotlin or similar.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

  • Previous experience in the gaming industry.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or CNCF initiatives.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and threat modeling.
