About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage incoming patients, prioritizing based on severity and acuity
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures, such as wound care and intravenous line placement
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on diagnoses and treatment plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain organized medical equipment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and emergency protocols
Requirements
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor's degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
