Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients and their families, promoting wellness and ensuring safe, effective, and ethical nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient-centered care, assessing and prioritizing patient needs, and developing individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care activities, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of nursing practice and patient outcomes.
- Support the growth and development of new team members, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience, with emergency experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of Coronary Care 1 or willingness to complete within the first 6 months of employment.
- Completion of ACLS or willingness to complete within the first 6 months of employment.
- Completion of PALS or willingness to complete within the first 6 months of employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professions/disciplines in a team environment and advocate effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills.
- Proven planning, priority setting, time management, organization, and coordination skills.
- Excellent attendance record.
