Job Title: School Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our students, teachers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide comprehensive reports to inform educational and mental health interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support students with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff on mental health and well-being strategies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement school-wide initiatives to promote student mental health and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Valid driver's license and access to own transportation.
