Senior Software Development Engineer - Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to utilize our cloud infrastructure, unique datasets, machine learning techniques, and big data tools to craft solutions that empower self-service advertisers to achieve their maximum potential.
- Engage collaboratively with software leaders to pioneer new advertising products
- Develop systems that provide insights and tailored recommendations for advertisers
- Balance ambitious objectives with the consistent delivery of value to advertisers
- Thrive in an environment characterized by ambiguity and ongoing change
- Scale and manage extensive advertising datasets using machine learning capabilities
- Enhance technical skills in cutting-edge technologies
- Build both technical and business knowledge to drive impactful results
Key Responsibilities:
- Design features in partnership with product teams
- Suggest innovative tools, frameworks, and automation solutions
- Produce clean, maintainable code while participating in peer code reviews
- Optimize client or server systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Guide team members to foster engineering excellence
About the Team: The Recommendation Optimization Experience (ROX) team is committed to assisting advertisers in expanding their businesses through personalized insights and recommendations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- Proven experience in leading system design or architecture
- Experience in mentorship or leadership roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comprehensive experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
