Software Engineer II, Advertising Technology Solutions

We are in search of proficient Software Engineers capable of enhancing technologies such as Elasticsearch, Spark, Hive, and Presto, along with AWS services like Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), Redshift, Kinesis, and DynamoDB to develop the next generation of our analytics and visualization platform. Become part of a team of industry-leading experts that constructs and manages one of the largest big data analytics platforms at Amazon. We are utilizing the latest big data technologies to transform how marketers purchase, track, measure, and optimize their advertising expenditures. We apply these technologies to process terabytes of data (over 10 billion new events daily) and operate clusters that challenge the scalability limits of existing technologies. Our goal is to assess every conceivable signal indicating the impact of advertising to deliver the most objective evaluation of marketing expenditures. This role entails designing and developing software products that influence numerous facets of our business. The individual in this position will be responsible for defining requirements, creating software designs, implementing code according to these specifications, conducting thorough unit and integration testing, and supporting products while they are deployed and utilized by our stakeholders. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
3+ years of comprehensive software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
