Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Fraser Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to provide comprehensive audiology services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
About the Role
- To provide audiology services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.
- To develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- To conduct thorough assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry, to determine the presence and nature of hearing or balance disorders.
- To recommend and administer appropriate treatments, such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices.
- To educate patients and their families on proper use and maintenance of hearing-related equipment.
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to audiology services.
- To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC).
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Audiologist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in software applications relevant to audiology practice, such as Pure Tone Audiometer software.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting.
