Park Ranger Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Parks Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our park rangers, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of park services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the park rangers team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of park services.
- Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and effective park ranger services.
- Oversee public compliance with applicable regulations and bylaws, ensuring that park visitors are aware of and adhere to park rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular patrols and investigate complaints and escalated issues concerning bylaw infractions, enforcing bylaws and regulations with tact and impartiality.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, external agencies, and the public, providing excellent customer service and communication.
- Considerable knowledge of park regulations, bylaws, laws, policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Sound knowledge of park ranger services, public education, and safety, as well as park operations and visitor management strategies.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, external agencies, and the public.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
