Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Building Products team at QAI Laboratories Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to building product testing and inspection, ensuring timely completion, and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client requirements.
  • Perform testing and evaluation of building products to nationally recognized building safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain testing jigs, test samples, and set-ups, and document results of tests, inspections, and evaluations.
  • Travel throughout Canada and the USA as business dictates, performing factory inspections and other project-related tasks.
  • Write and review concise, objective, and informative test reports and documents.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues, as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience in building product testing and inspection.
  • Advanced knowledge of US and Canada building codes and referenced nationally recognized safety standards.
  • Superior MS Word and Excel skills, proficiency with Email and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Good Laboratory Practice skills essential for testing products.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must hold a valid passport and be able to travel to the US and international destinations.
  • Previous experience with construction materials and windows/doors compliance practices in the US and Canada is an asset.
