Job Summary:

The Youth Ambassador Program at The Link is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to represent our organization in the community. As a Youth Ambassador, you will play a key role in promoting our programs and services, building relationships with youth and community stakeholders, and supporting the development of life and employment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent The Link in the community, promoting our programs and services to youth and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth, community organizations, and stakeholders to support the development of life and employment skills.
  • Support the planning and delivery of workshops, training sessions, and community events.
  • Assist with the coordination of volunteer activities and community outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of The Link's programs and services, as well as community resources and services.
  • Communicate effectively with youth, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of programs and services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with youth, preferably in a community outreach or program delivery role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ability to travel within the city of Winnipeg.

Working Conditions:

This is a term position with the potential for extension based on funding. The successful candidate will be required to work a 35-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working evenings and weekends when operationally required.
