We are seeking a skilled Master Carpenter to join our team at Boway Construction Ltd. as an Interior Finish Carpenter.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for completing interior finishing work on residential and industrial projects, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Responsibilities:- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements;
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to meet project specifications;
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware;
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion;
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. They must also be able to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel, and maintain a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Experience and Education:Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field are preferred. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and certification in carpentry would be an asset.
Benefits:We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include permanent employment, English language support, and opportunities for professional development.
This is a full-time position requiring 30-40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, be physically fit, and have a strong attention to detail.
