AECOM Transportation Planning Opportunities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Planner to join our team in the Lower Mainland / BC area. As a Master Urban Mobility Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering transportation solutions for tomorrow across Metro Vancouver Area, Canada, and globally.

In this role, you will provide clients with comprehensive transportation planning services, including technical analysis and project coordination, focusing on transit planning, policy, and economics projects. You will work on a wide range of projects, such as transit station planning and functional design, transportation policy studies, business case assessments for transportation projects, and environmental assessments for transportation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders on transportation planning projects

• Develop and maintain complex transportation models and data sets using tools such as EMME v2 or greater, TransCAD

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality transportation planning projects

• Develop and present reports, proposals, and other findings to clients and internal stakeholders

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation planning

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or similar field with a strong emphasis on transportation planning or engineering

• 4+ years of experience in transportation planning or engineering with some experience in transit, active transportation, and/or multimodal projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in transportation planning and project management

• Masters Degree or higher is advantageous

• Possesses an engineering license (P.Eng.) or registered professional planner designation (RPP, MCIP) in British Columbia, or in progress to obtaining one of these

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 CAD, depending on experience.
