We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacist Manager to join our team at Northern/Northmart. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our business.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational, regulatory, and professional services activities of the pharmacy meet the highest standards of excellence. This includes:

  • Complying with Provincial Pharmacy Regulations and adhering to Provincial Practice Standards and Guidelines within the pharmacy;
  • Following the Provincial Drug Formulary and advising the Manager, Retail Pharmacy on Provincial Regulatory changes;
  • Maintaining Patient Confidentiality and following all practices consistent with the Privacy Act;
  • Ensuring compliance with NIHB Claims Submission;
  • Ensuring compliance with Store Operating Procedures as defined by HP&S division, and implementing and maintaining Operational Standards;
  • Managing pharmacy staff, including orientation, training, employee accountabilities, and leadership;
  • Providing patient-focused, positive outcome care, with strong efforts to collaborate with healthcare professionals and community agencies within the district;
  • Recognizing and developing business opportunities, and understanding the importance of building and nurturing relationships within the community, including Healthcare Centers, Nursing Stations, and Physician Clinics.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy;
  • Licence by the relevant Provincial College of Pharmacists;
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Maintenance of Continuing Education Requirement for Provincial licensure;
  • Effective communication skills to counsel, educate, and instruct patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals;
  • Previous management experience (preferably 1 year) and community-oriented experience;
  • Experience with Pharmacy Software Programs, and experience with Kroll is considered an asset;
  • Highly motivated with a passion to bring our communities products and services to life better;
  • Ability to manage a team of approximately 2-3 staff;
  • Effective leadership with excellent people skills, and a great ability to build trust and relationships.
