Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Operations Manager to join our team at Angus Consulting Management Limited. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including data centers, healthcare facilities, commercial facilities, central utility plants, and Public Private Partnership projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and schedule engineering staff, assign work priorities, and determine the extent of required repairs and necessary corrective measures.
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of building equipment and systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of life safety, mechanical, and electrical equipment, and monitor required preventive maintenance measures and/or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, operating manuals, and pertinent data relating to operating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and permits from the City of Vancouver and the BC Safety Authority.
  • Assist in the purchase of materials and supplies within spending limits, and participate in the annual budgeting process.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Building Operator in a mix-use high-rise office/retail building.
  • Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Extensive experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, ESC, and Delta product or similar.
  • Trades background is considered an asset, as is water treatment experience.
