We are seeking an experienced Associate Manager to join our Financial Audit team at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading internal audits within our North America General Account Group and the Wealth and Asset Management Segment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage audit teams to complete assigned audit work, ensuring high-quality, professional, and efficient risk-based audit services.
- Develop and implement audit plans, programs, and procedures to evaluate business risks and control environments.
- Communicate with management to identify and assess business risks, and develop recommendations to mitigate these risks.
- Document and test controls to mitigate risks, and provide audit findings and recommendations to business unit management.
- Assist in preparing audit reports, including executive summaries and ratings of control environments.
- Provide on-the-job training and feedback to staff auditors, and contribute to their development.
- Collaborate with business unit management to provide risk management consulting support, education, and training.
- Experience in internal/external audit, risk, compliance, or equivalent financial services business experience.
- Knowledge of investments and asset management business risks and processes, including credit risk, hedge accounting, and complex derivative instruments.
- University degree and recognized public accounting (CPA), internal auditing (CIA, CFSA), or investment management (CFA) designation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects.
- Good data analytical skills and understanding of Power BI.
