Electroneurophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electroneurophysiology Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing and evaluating Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings, long-term EEG Telemetry monitoring, and/or Nerve Conduction Studies and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.
Under minimal direction, you will work collaboratively with our manager, program coordinator, and medical directors to maintain and clean equipment used within the laboratory. You will also facilitate communication among healthcare professionals, participate in the education and training of student technologists, neurology residents, and other medical personnel, and assist with the planning and implementation of research and clinical protocols.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in electroneurophysiology, who is proficient in all techniques required for electroneurophysiology testing, and has knowledge of normal neurophysiology, anatomy, and pathological states. You should be skilled in the recording and analysis of both surface and invasive EEG recordings, and have familiarity with Natus Neuroworks EEG recording system and/or the Mayo Clinic protocols for nerve conduction studies.
Able to work under minimal supervision, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent-full time position, 100% FTE, 75 hours biweekly, with a competitive hourly rate of $35.27.
