About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Eagle River Casino & Travel Plaza. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Conduct safety and security checks, and perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Equipment: Power tools, power lawn mowers, small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments), snowblower
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Personal suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability
