Maintenance Worker - Building

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker - Building to join our team at Eagle River Casino & Travel Plaza. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our building and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as needed
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months
Requirements:
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Dependability and reliability in completing tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
