About the Role:
The Storeroom Clerk is a key member of our Purchasing Department, responsible for procuring and managing various items used by the hotel. This includes sourcing vendors, ordering and tracking purchases, and receiving and inspecting goods to ensure they meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inventories of food, beverage, groceries, and sundries as required.
- Inspect all goods at delivery entrance to ensure orders are correct and of good quality.
- Handle all deliveries of goods to the appropriate departments, including loading and unloading carts and placing items in the correct storerooms.
- Ensure the loading dock and receiving areas are kept secure, clean, and organized.
- Check and match receiving documents to electronic purchase orders daily to verify price quotations and report any discrepancies to the Purchasing management team.
- Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Attention to detail and highly organized is critical to the success of this role.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role and environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and multitask.
