Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Assistant at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB), you will work collaboratively with the local medical team and professional staff to develop and implement rehabilitation programs. Your primary responsibility will be to organize and conduct individual or group activities, ensuring the effective delivery of therapeutic services to users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs in collaboration with the local medical team and professional staff.
  • Organize and conduct individual or group activities, including therapeutic exercises and assessments.
  • Assist in the assessment of users' needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Work closely with the medical team to ensure the effective delivery of rehabilitation services.

Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as rehabilitation therapy or a related health discipline.
  • Experience working in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with Indigenous populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services.
