Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist evaluates the functional abilities of users, determines and implements a treatment and intervention plan, develops, restores or maintains abilities, remedies incapacities, minimizes handicaps, and adapts the environment to promote optimal autonomy. This role participates in clinical teaching and contributes to the development of rehabilitation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate users' functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans;
- Implement and adapt treatment plans to meet users' needs and goals;
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement rehabilitation programs;
- Participate in clinical teaching and training activities to enhance professional development;
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to rehabilitation services.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy;
- Membership in the Ordre professionnel des ergothérapeutes du Québec;
- Minimum of two years of experience in occupational therapy;
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary team environment;
- Participation in education or training activities in rehabilitation.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills;
- Ability to manage multiple files and mandates simultaneously;
- Excellent planning and decision-making skills;
- Good knowledge of computer tools, including the Office suite;
- Fluency in English; Cree or French language skills are an asset.
