Job Summary

At TerraSource Global, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Field Service Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers and driving revenue growth through service and parts sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support
    • Provide technical support to customers, including installation, operation, and maintenance of our equipment.
    • Evaluate customer needs and identify opportunities for service and parts sales.
  • Service Delivery
    • Complete service visits and generate professional reports in a timely manner.
    • Submit billing and ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with sales representatives and other departments to identify opportunities for service and parts sales.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Utilize technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records and reports, including service visit reports and billing information.
    • Utilize SalesForce system to manage service reports, update asset data, and collaborate with other departments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college or university degree or equivalent from a technical school in a technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related heavy industrial service experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insurable under company's motor vehicle insurance policy.
  • Demonstrated common PC skills, including Microsoft products.
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar customer management software.

Travel and Physical Demands

This role requires frequent travel, approximately 60% of the time, and may involve international travel. A valid passport is required. The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, walking, using hands to handle and feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing. The employee may occasionally be required to crouch and lift items as heavy as 50lbs.
