Job Summary

The Marine Personnel Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing for Seaspan Ferries Corporation. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to verify and process payment, overtime, and premium pay claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process payroll claims, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and company policies.
  • Allocate account codes for labor costs to the correct accounts, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of overtime reports, time utilization, and wage cost.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including training and conference hours entry.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Labor Relations, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting and collective agreements.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and database software.
  • Knowledge of collective agreements, rules, and regulations governing labor relations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
