About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Carriere Industrial Supply Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of metal products.

Job Description
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Language: English
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Experience: Experience an asset
Responsibilities
  1. Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products.
  2. Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
  3. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  4. Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers.
  5. Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  6. Load and unload vehicles.
Work Environment
  • The work environment is physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • The employee must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, life insurance, and pension plan.
