We are a leading provider of transportation services, chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to enter the development phase of the On-Corridor Works project.

This multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times, and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will have the authority and responsibility to stop work to ensure quality control activities are followed and report non-conformances to the responsible staff and QMs.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Evaluating and documenting the quality of construction work performed by ONxpress LPP, suppliers, and subcontractors;
  • Verifying that equipment is fit for purpose, properly calibrated, and maintained as required;
  • Identifying and reporting non-compliant construction work and supplied products when discovered;
  • Coordinating and notifying quality activities with QM(s), quality coordinators, and inspectors, and with any other party/agency having jurisdiction;
  • Ensuring inspections and tests are performed in accordance with approved ITPs and quality records are complete, accurate, and meet applicable requirements;

You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining quality records pertaining to your assigned portion of work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy civil projects;
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills;
  • Proficiency with MS tools, document control, etc.;
  • Experience leading standards audits and techniques.
