Mechanical Superintendent

Job Summary
Kiewit is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Superintendent to join our team in Eastern Canada. As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will play a key role in the success of our infrastructure projects, overseeing multiple disciplines and ensuring the execution of work meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily activities of foremen and crew members
- Assist in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction area
- Oversee all operations relating to a specific discipline/segment of work
- Direct discipline craft supervisors on site
- Perform daily inspections of work performed
- Provide job safety training and awareness for personnel
- Establish budgetary guidelines for the job, and ensure that cost control measures are being followed
- Establish quality standards of all jobs, and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met
Requirements
- 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Mechanical Superintendent/Leadership capacity
- Ability to oversee multiple disciplines such as (steel, piping, mechanical)
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures and software programs
- Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
- Fluency in French (written and verbal) is required
- Working knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset
