As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers in designing, building, and operating secure, reliable, scalable, and performant infrastructure for our customers and developers.
The Team You'll Work With
The Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for providing the technical foundation for Carta's services. We are a diverse group of Software and Infrastructure Engineers with expertise in cloud computing, networking, systems design, architecture, storage, real-time data telemetry, automation, tooling, and processes.
About You
You will act as a technical leader, guiding your team in making technical decisions and working closely with other Platform Infrastructure and Product teams to build and scale services. You will be responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure that powers the entire company.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering large-scale projects with technical deep-dives and solving production issues in areas like compute, networking, communications, storage, operating systems, and software engineering.
- A consistent track record of leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to empower teams and resolve disagreements with empathy and clarity.
- Deep understanding of Linux, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, with experience managing infrastructure cost a plus.
- Production experience with building infrastructure on public cloud technologies and leading Incident Management at scale.
