Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality case management, clinical treatment, advocacy, individual, and group therapy to clients with operational stress injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring mental health and addiction issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based treatments, including recovery-oriented cognitive therapy (RCT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Identify treatment goals with patients and coordinate across broader clinical teams when necessary.
  • Lead high-quality psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based modalities.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and follow-up of patient aftercare plans.
  • Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with patients' families, referral sources, community providers, and other members of the care circle.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain relevant professional associations.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration in good standing with a professional body, such as CCPA, BCACC, CCAC, or BCCSW.
  • Experience in facilitating group programs and therapeutic groups is required; experience working in residential mental health and addiction treatment settings is an asset.
  • Familiarity with multiple treatment modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, positive psychology interventions, and trauma-focused therapies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $63,680 to $95,520 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
