EHN Canada is a leading provider of mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment services. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality case management, clinical treatment, and advocacy to clients with Operational Stress Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and co-occurring mental health and addiction issues. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will actively participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to resident-centered care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized treatment, education, and ongoing assessment of progress to patients using evidence-based modalities, including CBT, mindfulness, DBT, CPT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Facilitate abstinence-based, relapse prevention education and content in individual and group settings.
  • Identify treatment goals with patients and coordinate with broader clinical teams as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based modalities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with inter-professional teams within and external to the company.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in developing, implementing, and following up on patient aftercare plans, including referrals to abstinence-based recovery programs.
  • Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries in a timely manner.
  • Complete detailed documentation and charting in accordance with company standards.
  • Liaise with patients, families, referral sources, community providers, EAP representatives, case managers, and other members of the circle of care.
  • Engage in personal and professional development, maintain professional associations, and provide current documentation to the Human Resources Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including providing coverage in other programs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychotherapy.
  • Registration in good standing with relevant professional bodies, such as CCPA, BCACC, CCAC, NSCCT, or Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.
  • Experience in facilitating group programs and therapeutic groups is required.
  • Experience working in a residential mental health and addiction treatment setting is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of abstinence-based community resources and supports is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of multiple treatment modalities, including CBT, ACT, CPT, ART, mindfulness, DBT, and interpersonal therapy.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, produce high-quality work, and meet deadlines in accordance with company standards.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Exercise initiative and good judgment, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with military and/or first responder cultures is considered an asset.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in mental health and addiction assessment and treatment is highly desirable.
