We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for performing site visits, gathering data, and collaborating with clients to develop and generate I&C deliverables for industrial oil and gas, power, and mining & metals facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site surveys and data gathering.
  • Working independently in a multidisciplinary team, maintaining budgets, and effective communication.
  • Developing Instrumentation and Control Systems Technical Specifications.
  • Generating datasheets for field instrumentation and F&G devices.
  • Sizing calculations for Control Valves, Thermo Wells, and Flow elements.
  • Developing Instrument Lists, I/O Lists, Cable Schedules, and Alarm Lists.
  • Preparing Cause and Effect Diagrams and Control Narratives.
  • Generating Hookup drawings, Instrumentation and F&G devices Location layouts, and Cable routing.
  • Developing Control System Architectural Drawings, Control System and Cable Block diagrams.
  • Designing wiring and Loop diagrams.
  • Material Take-off and Cost estimate.
  • Supporting Technical Procurements, including preparation of Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluation, and Vendor Document Review.
Our Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Industrial Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, or Nuclear plants/facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Holding an active Professional Engineering license of one of the provinces will be a bonus.
  • Knowledge of North American Codes and Standards for the field of Instrumentation and Control Systems.
  • Knowledge of all modules of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) is a preference.
  • Software expertise of Instrument sizing calculation and 2D drafting, such as AutoCAD.
