Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mechanical and electrical scopes of our projects, ensuring that they are completed in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
  • Support preconstruction activities, including tendering and procurement, to ensure consistency with project procurement models.
  • Provide constructability and value engineering reviews to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement management processes for mechanical and electrical RFIs, shop drawings, and project completion requirements.
  • Manage risk associated with MEP scopes, utilizing knowledge of operational best practices and owner project requirements.
  • Assist in the development of overall project budgets, evaluation of tender packages, and forecasting and monitoring project cash flows.
  • Contract and scope development, evaluation, and identification of scope gaps, assessment, and mediation.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and controls subcontractors to ensure project and team success.
  • Monitor and provide updates for MEP work within overall schedules.
  • Support Project Commissioning Authority and define roles and responsibilities within construction teams as it pertains to commissioning processes.
  • Evaluate MEP monthly progress draws for accuracy and adherence to project cash flow models.
  • Define roles and reporting structures within MEP teams to ensure M&E deficiencies are addressed and closed.

Requirements:

  • Engineering/Mechanical degree or equivalent combination of technical training and industry memberships.
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience.
  • Working knowledge of current mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to proactively identify and document problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
