The Securities Department at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is seeking a highly skilled Clearing and Settlement Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of operational, administrative, and financial processes for all Société Générale's business lines in Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Settle fixed income, equity, and option products in the Canadian and Global markets
- Reconcile cash positions and stock records between custodian/clearing agents/banks and in-house systems
- Reconcile all suspense and control accounts
- Develop and maintain KPI/KRI reports with detailed root cause and resolution analysis
- Continuously resolve breaks, including fails with counterparts
- Work flexible hours between 8:00am and 7:00pm, with occasional overtime and late shifts
- Proficiency with clearing and settlements tools and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Canadian Regulatory/Compliance experience
- Knowledge of broker/dealer operations
- Experience documenting front-to-back systems flows
- Bachelor's degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related field), or equivalent
- 3-7 years related experience
- Understanding of trade flow and products for fixed income, equities, and options
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Good interpersonal and partnering skills, a 'team-player'
- Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic environment
English is the primary language required for this role, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners in the United States.
