**Job Summary**

Aegion is seeking a highly skilled Field Technician/Engineer to join our team. As a Field Technician/Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and operational direction to the planning, design, and operation of rehabilitative and inspection projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and operational direction to project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Review project estimates and site plans to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Update project management systems with findings from site visits and project progress.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Communicate project parameters, project changes, and issues to regional managers, project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
  • Act as a liaison between field and office teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Perform regular site visits to assess project progress and crew productivity.
  • Provide excellent standards of customer service to maintain a positive company image and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Certificate, Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering Degree, or Technical Diploma from an accredited technical institution.
  • 3-5 years related field construction management experience.
  • Approximately 30% travel.
  • Ability and willingness to be on site 50% of the time.
  • Previous experience in water/sewer or municipal environment is an asset.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and assign work of crews, including training and communication updates.
  • Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and databases, Microsoft Project, and JD Edwards software experience an asset.
  • Ability to complete applicable reports, calculations, records, and administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give presentations.
