Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Neurosciences Unit at IWK Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children with complex medical conditions, including cardiac disease and neurosurgical populations.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. This will involve assessing patient needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as collaborating with other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic, comprehensive care to patients with complex medical conditions
  • Lead nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a graduate degree in nursing, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia, and have a minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience. Recent experience in orthopaedic, pediatric cardiac, and neurosciences nursing is also an asset.
