Director of Used Vehicle Strategy

Steele Auto Group is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our used vehicle strategy efforts. As the Director of Used Vehicle Strategy, you will be responsible for driving business growth, optimizing inventory, and implementing best practices across our dealership network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive used vehicle strategy to drive revenue and profitability
  • Optimize used vehicle inventory through strategic procurement and management
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
  • Craft effective marketing strategies to showcase our used vehicles
  • Innovate processes to enhance group used retail and financial performance
  • Monitor departmental progress and take corrective action as needed
  • Implement our Used Car Policy for vehicle transfers
  • Create and execute onboarding and training programs for Used Car Managers
  • Develop and monitor KPIs aligned with corporate strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as auctions and rental companies
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of dealership experience in the used vehicle retail space
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 5+ years of management experience in a retail environment demonstrating proven leadership abilities
  • Strong leadership skills, focusing on operations and business processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • Diplomatic with solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
