Job Summary:

Algoma Steel Inc. is seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. As a leading manufacturer of hot and cold rolled steel sheet and plate products, we are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers while improving the quality of life for our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have a Grade 12 Level of education or equivalency and possess Ironworker (420A) or (420B) or Metal Fabricator (Fitter) (437A) with relevant experience.
  • Must have a 4-position CWB Welding ticket.
  • A valid Gas ticket would be an asset.
  • Must have an understanding of all tools and equipment utilized in the trade and all related safety practices relative to the trade.
  • Must have a minimum of Grade 12 education.
  • Successful applicants must be able and willing to work on a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Level of education or equivalency.
  • Ironworker (420A) or (420B) or Metal Fabricator (Fitter) (437A) certification.
  • 4-position CWB Welding ticket.
  • Valid Gas ticket (asset).
  • Understanding of tools and equipment utilized in the trade.
  • Related safety practices relative to the trade.
