About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing Care to join our team at The Village of Aspen Lake in Windsor, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and promote a resident-centred social culture and deliver high-quality clinical care to residents.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement clinical programs and quality outcomes that focus on flexible living and quality of life.
- Liaise with external partners, lead education programs, and drive quality assurance initiatives.
- Track and analyze trends, and participate in village-wide committees and working groups.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to colleagues, and advocate for residents to participate in decisions about their care.
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents, families, and the Village team to deliver holistic care and provide specialized clinical services.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Maintain current Heart Save Level of CPR.
- Three (3) years of experience leading and directing departments in a healthcare setting.
- Excitement about our objectives, Village philosophy, and family values.
- Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
- Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector.
- Experience in Geriatric nursing.
