Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize systems and procedures to deliver exceptional customer service on all interactions
  • Learns and maintains solid product knowledge on manufacturer-specific vehicles and manufacturer-specific rebate, finance and incentive programs
  • Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees
  • Ensure that all work performed is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion
  • Work effectively without supervision
  • Attend factory-sponsored and dealer-specified training classes as scheduled by management
  • Answer Customer Service phone calls relating to car sale inquiries
  • Evaluate customer needs and provide recommendations on suitable vehicles
  • Keep customers updated by phone as to the progress of their vehicle's delivery
  • Inform customers when vehicles are ready to be picked up
  • Recommend accessories and services to enhance customer experience
  • Account for all documents; ensure that none are missing
  • Follow up with the factory and distributors regarding late vehicle deliveries
  • Comply with strict regulations and requirements of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC)
  • Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times
  • Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Automotive Sales Experience is an asset
  • OMVIC Certification is required
  • Dealer CRM system experience is an asset
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record
  • Strong computer skills
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible under changing conditions
  • Ability to be creative and persuasive in negotiating
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism with a positive attitude under pressure
  • Well-spoken, friendly and articulate
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules
  • May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $150,000 per year based on location and experience.
