  • Read and understand dimensional and electrical drawings to diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
  • Operate specific testing equipment, such as high pot testers, fuel gas analyzers, and vibration meters, to ensure accurate results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mechanical operations, including piping, burner operations, and other mechanical components.
  • Identify and document exceptions, complete unit reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical operations, electrical drawings, and testing procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand process sheets, identify exceptions, and complete unit reports.
  • Excellent eye for quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Conditions:

The Boiler Unit Specialist will work in a normal plant, shop, field, or office environment with occasional exposure to disagreeable features. The role requires the ability to work at heights and operate an overhead crane.
