We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Municipal Infrastructure Designer to join our Water team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Ontario, Canada.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in municipal conveyance design, including watermain and sanitary sewer projects. As a key member of the project team, you will work closely with Project Managers and Senior Engineers/Designers to develop municipal conveyance designs on a variety of projects, from small diameter sewers to pumping stations and transmission mains in complex locations.

About the Role:

  • Perform civil conveyance design for watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects from preliminary design to detailed design, tendering, and construction inspection.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
  • Conduct calculations, prepare proposals, and technical reports, and assist the project manager or lead engineer.
  • Take responsibility in managing project deliverables and schedule with project technical leads and the project manager.
  • Capable of developing municipal conveyance designs for water and wastewater infrastructure from conceptual level to detailed design and construction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Engineering Intern, Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist registered in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 years of municipal conveyance design experience, including related co-op or internship work experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
  • Understanding of GTA municipal sewer and watermain design criteria and specifications is considered an asset.
