About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is for a Senior Civil Engineer based out of any of our GTA offices. You will be integral to the development and growth of our Civil practice, working closely with Business Lead and Managers, Project Directors on civil design for linear infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating all aspects of the civil design, including being responsible for the design.
- Developing or verifying the technical scope of a project.
- Completing civil designs following the budget and schedule.
- Working closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision making related to the civil design.
You will also have the opportunity to ensure the client's requirements, including specifications and standards, are integrated into the project, and that quality control processes are being followed.
A successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, criteria, along with the application of sound professional judgment.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university.
- Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Minimum of 10 years of extensive technical design experience.
- Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure.
- Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards.
- Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
