About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Vaco as a Strategic Financial Planning Expert. This is a 12-month contract role that requires exceptional financial modeling skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Department Managers to understand budget requirements, operating results, departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Create complex financial models using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA scripts.
- Assess completeness and reasonableness of financial requirements; analyze, interpret, and communicate financial transactions to management.
- Maintain the general ledger for authorized budget adjustments throughout the year.
- Provide key financial schedules for senior management.
- Assist in analyzing financial data extracts, defining relevant information, interpreting data, developing reports, and undertaking other duties as assigned.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need a University degree in Business Administration or Commerce and Accounting designation (CMA, CGA, or equivalent). A minimum of 5 years of related experience within budgeting and forecasting is required. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in developing and using Excel spreadsheet financial models and tools, including Excel modeling and macros, is mandatory. Experience with VBA and SQL is also required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. The company offers a competitive compensation package, which includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
