About the Role

RJC Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Structural group, you will be responsible for the structural analysis and design of various building types, including commercial, residential, institutional, and sports/recreation complexes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop detailed structural designs and assist with design checks for project components.
  2. Collaborate with project engineers to develop preliminary structural design concepts.
  3. Ensure quality compliance by maintaining design/checking notes.
  4. Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  5. Conduct site visits and participate in site/field meetings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
  2. Registration or eligibility for registration with the provincial engineering association (EGBC) as an EIT.
  3. 0-3 years of structural engineering design experience.
  4. Proficiency in software such as SAFE, RAM, ETABS, and SAP.
  5. Seismic design experience is a strong asset.
