Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to join our team at BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. in Peterborough, Ontario. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers/Specialists in executing a wide range of projects across a common product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate and lead a diverse team of Manufacturing Engineers/Specialists to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement plans and schedules to meet project deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and resources to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve project issues and risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery and team performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in an Engineering or Technical Diploma in an Engineering field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing in a highly regulated industry, such as Nuclear, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex manufacturing projects and teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project schedules, budgets, and financial metrics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the CANDU Nuclear Industry.
  • Familiarity with CSA Nuclear Codes and Standards.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and Standards.
  • Experience with Project Management processes and Primavera P6 project management software.
